Rising up to take our place
There is a lot going on at Gold Hill for those who are in Secondary School or Sixth Form. We have seen God do amazing things with and through our young people, and they are a constant inspiration to our church family. Whatever your age or background, there is a place for you with us.
‘Source’: Years 7-9
The Source is for anyone in years 7-9, and meets together in different ways every week during term time.
Sunday Source (10–11:30am)
During the 10am service at Gold Hill. We have breakfast together, play some games, get into the Bible together and support each other in our lives.
Friday Source (7:30–9pm)
A youth club at church with sport, games, activities, a tuck shop and the odd trip out together. We’ve done murder mystery nights, RC car nights, sport nights, crazy golf, so no two evenings are the same! There is a short talk near the end of the evening about faith and life.
Girls Group (Tuesdays, 6:30–7:30pm)
A group of just girls meeting to chat about life and have a relaxed Bible study together.
‘Live’: Years 10-13
Live is for anyone in years 10 to 13 and meets during term time in various groups. We also do plenty of social gatherings and trips away throughout the year:
Sunday Live (10–11:30am)
During the 10am service at Gold Hill, we start with a delicious breakfast together and then enjoy an hour together getting to know each other better, diving into the Bible together and seeing how faith and life connect.
Live Boys (Wednesdays, 7:30–9pm)
Always with plenty of sport and hanging out with each other, then getting a chance to discuss things we care about and figure out what difference faith makes today.
Live Girls (every other Wednesday, 7:30–9pm)
A relaxed and chilled space to meet together in a home and deepen our friendships, support one another and study the Bible together, applying it to our lives in real ways.
‘Breathe’: Youth Service
A youth service, led by young people for young people: youth leading youth. We meet every Saturday night during term time at the Chalfont St Peter Youth Centre to worship God together and hear from Him.
We start with food, some sport on the court outside, and a chance to catch up with each other, then play a game or two all together and start our service. There is a youth band (so if you’re musical and want to join in, come along!) who lead us in worship, we hear a short talk that’s relevant to our lives, and we pray for one another. We’ve seen God work in amazing ways, and it’s always exciting to see what He’s going to do next.
We are so pleased at Gold Hill to be a partner of the Chalfont St Peter Youth Centre, a great place in the middle of the village for young people to meet up with their friends. With pool, table tennis, table football, a tuck shop, chips and games, come and get involved with some activities, or just come to chill and chat. The youth centre is open four nights a week, for different groups:
