This past Sunday evening in our service, Malcolm was sharing around the theme of blessing. When we seek blessing, pray for blessing, desire blessing in our lives, what is it that we mean? Malcolm was challenging us that when we are looking for material blessing, an easy life, for things to be simple and pain-free, we can become frustrated. But when we remind ourselves of the innumerable ways we have already been blessed by God, it can life our spirits.
Below is a section of Malcolm’s message where he reminds us of the blessings God has given us. Have a read, and thank God for His blessing poured out.
You are blessed because God has promised never to leave us or forsake us.
You are blessed because you have been accepted into the family of God if you are a Christian.
You are blessed because you have been embraced by a Father who always knew you weren’t an accident.
You are blessed because God has promised never to leave us or forsake us.
You are blessed because when you address God you are heard in Heaven.
You are blessed because the third person of the Trinity lives in you; the same power that upholds the earth upholds you, and will never leave you.
You are blessed because you have been given a book that guides you in life and shows you what’s right and wrong, and tells you the great story, and helps you to find a place, and give you a meaning, a purpose, a destiny and a way of living out what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ.
You are blessed because God will never stop loving you. He always loves us. He’s always interested in us. He’s always committed to us.
You are blessed because you’re never alone.
You are blessed because you’re able to trust that even in the darkest moments of your life when lies are swirling around you God knows the truth..
You are blessed because you are on the winning side.
