Youth Activities

CREATING AN ENVIRONMENT WHERE YOUNG PEOPLE THRIVE

A supernatural Youth community that is all about Jesus!

We’re all about helping young people grow into everything God has planned for them. We want to see the youth in our community thrive and step into the fullness of life that Jesus promises!

Our youth programme at Gold Hill seeks to see them recognise and be released into their purpose and potential. All while staying rooted in God’s word through biblical, relevant and accessible teaching, encountering God for themselves and building community together.

If you would like to know more about the youth ministry that takes place at Gold Hill do get in touch if you would like to know more! Shona Hunter-Singh, our Children and Youth Minister, would love to hear from you, and you can email her at Shona.Hunter-Singh@goldhill.org

Younger Youth (Year 7-10)

For Year 7-10s we have a fun and welcoming space where young people can explore their faith, dive into God’s Word, and grow in their relationship with Him through engaging Bible teaching, discussions, and activities. Oh, and a lot of breakfast!

Meets Every Week

Older Youth (Year 11-13)

For Year 11-13s we have a relaxed and supportive space to grow deeper in faith, tackle life’s big questions, and get ready for the transition into adult life—all while building great friendships along the way and again, there is always breakfast!

Meet Shona!

Children & Youth Minister

Shona leads our ministry with children and young people. She is passionate about those who are younger developing their own relationship with God, experiencing life in all its fulness and thriving in all that God made them to be.

“I want to shatter the myth that children and young people’s experience of God is somehow of less value than that of adults. At Gold Hill, as in the Bible, God uses those who are younger to teach us deep truths, and I love being part of releasing that in them.”

Mid-week Bible Studies

Every other week @ the Hub

Every other Tuesday there are two Bible Studies one for year 7-10 at 5:30pm-6:30pm and one for year 11-13 at 7:30pm-9:00pm. But, between the two groups from 6:30pm-7:15pm there is an opportunity for us all to have dinner together which is £2.50pp, but please let us know if this is a problem.

Over the years we’ve covered a whole load of different topics from the big questions about faith to walking through a book of the Bible together. Each session is accessible, engaging and a great opportunity to go deeper into God’s word.

These are the dates of our next bible studies:

Tuesday 19 May 2026
Tuesday 2 June 2026
Tuesday 16 June 2026

Mentoring

Mentoring offers the opportunity for young people to meet with one of the youth team to journey through different parts of life. We’ll usually go to a local coffee shop, be in a relaxed and informal environment and just have time to talk life together.

It may be that they want to meet with someone to help grow in reading their Bibles or it may just be wanting to talk through the challenges of school. We always talk through what they want to use the time for and it is always done with the agreement of parents/carers.

For more information head to the CSP Youth Centre website: www.cspyouthcentre.org.uk

CSP Youth Centre

Gold Hill is proud to partner with the Chalfont St Peter Youth Centre to provide high-quality youth work for young people in the village and surrounding areas. The youth centre is a safe, accessible, and welcoming environment where there are lots of facilities, including an outdoor sports court, a tuck shop, a games room, games consoles,  pool table and more. Each club night has a different weekly program is packed with different activities, from learning DJ skills with a local DJ to five-a-side football tournaments. The  dedicated team of volunteers has been carefully recruited through DBS checks , interviews, references, and safeguarding training to ensure a safe and positive space for all.

Throughout The Year

Residentials

Throughout the calendar year we have various residentials including a Youth Weekend Away and going to organised youth events.

Socials

Each term we have a social. Over the years we have done mini golf, inflatables, film nights and laser quest! It is always a good way to finish the term and have some fun together. Anyone is welcome to come along so keep an eye on the calendar and our social media platforms!

Mission and Serving

We encourage the young people to get involved in serving at different things through the year. It may be they are on a team on Sunday morning, volunteering at the CSP Youth Centre or going on mission somewhere.

Notices for Youth

Calendar of Events

Keeping Young People Safe

We firmly believe that God cares about this generation so much and we want to do everything we can to create the safest environment for them to grow in. All groups are led by members of the youth team who have gone through a recruitment process which involves DBS checks , meeting with ministry leads, references and safeguarding training. See our safeguarding policy:
