Activities for Children
At Gold Hill, we run a vibrant programme of activities for under 11s. As well as our weekly programme, we have one-off events such as light parties, holiday clubs and much more.
Mark 10:14 (NIVUK)
“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”
Our desire is to create a community that thrives together and also has lots of fun! Our team makes sure that every child feels safe, valued and welcome.
Our prayer is that every child experiences the love of God and grows in their relationship with Him in a personal and real way. In every session we run, there is a bible message, whether that be a story at Toddler Praise, a short Bible thought at Hub Night or a more in-depth look in our Sunday morning groups. The Bible is explored in age-appropriate and relevant ways, engaging with different learning styles, to create a space for lifelong learning.
We want to make sure that our groups are accessible to all. If your child has additional needs, let Liz know so we can ensure your child feels safe and comfortable.
Children in year 7 and above are covered by our Youth Programme which is described here.
Any Questions?
It would only be natural if you had some questions before your child attends an activity at the Church. Please don’t hesitate to contact Liz.
Proverbs 22:6 (NIVUK)
“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”
Liz Styles Children's Worker
Liz is our Children’s worker. Liz is passionate about reaching children & their families with the good news of Jesus and seeing them grow in relationship with Him, living in the love of the Father and living life in all its fulness, empowered by the Holy Spirit.
I believe that every child deserves to know that they are completely loved, welcomed and wanted by God and that He has an incredible plan for their lives. I want to see families transformed by Jesus and living as God’s dearly loved children as part of His church!
Liz grew up in North Nottinghamshire, first heard about God in a school assembly, attended a church led weekly group and became a Christian at about the age of 12. Liz did an Applied Biblical Theology degree at Mattersey Hall, and has been working in Church ministry for over 20 years. Liz enjoys being adventurous, a good walk and a quiet cup of tea!
Registration Is Required
All children must be registered in order to take part in any of our activities. This is for everyone’s safety.
Kids on Sunday
On Sundays during our 10:30 Gathering, we have groups for all different age groups. These all include play, craft, Bible stories and fun together. We have great teams running each of these groups, so you can leave your children in safe hands.
We would love to see your child/ren at a Sunday group.
If it’s your first Sunday visit to us, then please read this page so you know what to expect.
It would be helpful (but not essential) if you could register your children in advance. If they have any disability or additional needs, please contact Liz Styles in advance, so she can ensure that we are able to support them.
When you arrive at the Hub on Sunday, please check your children in at the reception desk before going into the auditorium.

Keeping Children Safe
We firmly believe that God cares about this generation so much and we want to do everything we can to create the safest environment for them to grow in. All groups are led by members of the children’s team who have gone through a recruitment process which involves DBS checks, meeting with ministry leads, references and safeguarding training.
