Acts 29 - Our current morning series

The Church for Today (pt 1, ‘CHURCH’)

Acts 2:42-47; 28:23-31

What kind of church will we be? If we want to be ‘like the church in Acts’ then which one?! There were so many different expressions of church, for all the different places, people and times they found themselves in and around. But there were some things it all held in common that led to the explosive growth of the church in the first few centuries. What can we learn, and will we commit to being this kind of church?

During the autumn this year our morning series is called ‘Acts 29 – the Church for Today’. We are looking at what it means to be part of the movement of Jesus in our world today. On this page you can download the booket that goes with the series, see the overview and listen to messages as they are given on a Sunday. There are also some great books related to the series that we are recommending for those who like to read, including the book we are basing the whole series on, The Forgotten Ways by Alan Hirsch.
