The Sharing Project
We provide practical assistance to families and individuals with needs for furniture and household items, who are on low income or benefits.
We are based at Gold Hill Baptist Church. The team includes many volunteers and The Sharing Project Co-ordinator, Catherine Dwight, is available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays as the main contact.
Who can receive furniture?
We operate on a referral basis. Most referrals come from Social Services, Housing Associations or Medical Staff. However, self referral is possible.
What Happens?
- Call Catherine Dwight on 01753 887173 to discuss your needs. If she is not available please leave a voicemail message and she will get back to you as soon as possible.
- If you are an agency making a referral please be prepared to give us your Client’s name, address and contact numbers.
- We will endeavour to match your needs as soon as possible and arrange a delivery date. If we cannot meet your requirements we will refer you to other agencies that may be able to help.
How can I donate goods?
Please contact Catherine Dwight as above. Be aware that we are unable to accept any “white goods”, and all beds and sofas must have a fire label attached. Please ensure all items are in an acceptable condition.
