Pastoral Care

Our mission at Gold Hill is to be an authentic Christ-like community, encountering God, making disciples and transforming the world. Being part of such a community, we seek to love and care for one another. It's not an option. We may show friendship and care for each other in different ways. It maybe something as simple as sharing a meal or helping out practically, but we try to reflect the love of Jesus to one another.
We are not only a church community that shows practical care and concern - we believe that Prayer is the way we make sure we are going the right way and enables us to face the future with certainty and hope. During and after services our caring and competent Prayer Team is always available to pray with others. They are trusted and mature members of the church who respect confidences. The team also prays for people at other times for healing and in emergencies.
Sometimes we face more complex concerns and situations that cannot be fully met by prayer and the most sympathetic care. In such cases we have a team of qualified counsellors who are able to offer the professional help any of us may need. For more details about our Counselling Service, please click here.
Our Small Groups act as a hub for pastoral care and friendships within the church community. Celebrating with God's family on Sunday is great but it can be hard getting to know people well enough to share deeply. Small groups help people to fit in, find friendship and support. An essential part of the church structure, small groups are vital for its life and growth. There are over twenty small groups currently active at Gold Hill; most groups meet on a Tuesday evening, but some meet on another evening or during the daytime.
